Support worker services

Our support services go beyond simply assisting with day-to-day tasks.

We provide person-centred support tailored to each individual’s abilities, circumstances, goals and level of need.

Support workers can assist with daily living, personal care, household tasks, meal preparation, appointments, transport, community access, social participation, routines and the development of practical life skills.

Support is focused on building independence, confidence and meaningful participation while respecting each person’s choice, dignity and individual way of life.

Allied health-led support

Our approach brings together allied health expertise and practical support in everyday environments.

Where appropriate, an Occupational Therapist can assess an individual’s functional needs, identify barriers to participation and develop tailored strategies, programs or capacity-building activities.

These can then be demonstrated and handed over to support workers for consistent implementation within the person’s everyday routine.

This helps bridge the gap between therapy and daily life, allowing skills and strategies introduced through allied health intervention to be practised and reinforced in real-world settings.

Individual and group programs

We offer professionally developed individual and group programs that can be tailored to different ages, abilities, support needs and functional levels.

Programs may focus on independent living skills, cooking and meal preparation, budgeting, community access, communication, social participation, emotional regulation, routines, health and wellbeing, vocational readiness and other practical skills required for everyday life.

Programs can be developed or guided by an Occupational Therapist and implemented alongside trained support workers, allowing participants to work towards meaningful goals in a structured, supportive and engaging environment.

04

Complex and forensic support

We recognise that some individuals have complex histories and may require a more considered approach to community participation and independence.

Our services can support forensic clients, including individuals transitioning back into the community, by working collaboratively with the person and relevant members of their support network.

Support may focus on establishing safe and sustainable routines, developing daily living skills, increasing appropriate community participation, accessing services, building vocational skills and strengthening independence.

Where allied health involvement is indicated, assessment and intervention can inform practical strategies that support the individual’s identified goals while taking account of relevant risk management and professional responsibilities.

05

A coordinated approach

Our model is built around collaboration between allied health professionals, support workers, participants and their wider support networks.

Rather than therapy and support work operating separately, we aim to translate professional recommendations into practical strategies that can be used consistently in everyday life.

From individual support and community participation to structured groups and more complex community reintegration, services are tailored to the individual and designed to build skills, increase participation and support greater independence over time.
